How to add keywords to your web site

0:27 Ruben Quinines – Very good. So I drag you in here, you know, it’s not like I settled down and really didn’t plan this but you do this day to day anyway that’s as far as you know Keyword research and placing keywords throughout the page.
0:39 What that I want to talk about the importance about keyword focuses misconception about it in the industry you know most people jam keywords into the page because they want to optimize it so much. Not the right thing to do right?
0:55 Sarah Dryden – I usually, I have one primary key phase and I like to spread that out mostly in the main header and then maybe in couple of other headers and few more times throughout the page but where some keyword focus really come up is this secondary or supporting key phases. That helps support the primary key phases well as well as break up this panoply of this keyword focus.
1:15 Ruben Quinines – So it should be closely related to that primary focus right?
1:21 Sarah Dryden – Usually I have maybe one word which is the same or maybe a variation of the same word or maybe a plural form or something like that.
1:28 Ruben Quinines – And again that really comes honestly from the keyword research. When we will be going a little bit ahead but it’s like once we pick up what those closely related terms are that should be focused on the page, that’s when we start displaying the headline, in the sub headlines.
1:44 Sarah Dryden – It doesn’t help if your supporting key phase is drastically different from your primary but it maybe duck tale that you have a good, a broad range than your page will try to have it.
1:56 Ruben Quinines – Can you answer the question that why not go after Five keywords on a page?
2:00 Sarah Dryden – If you have to many then you it becomes too; you have to stumble the focus but put all you egg in one basket. As you can have primary, secondary and at times one more supporting it.
2:12 Ruben Quinines – Ok and other way I guess you are diluting the focus of what you really want to focus.
2:18 Sarah Dryden – Exactly, Diluting is good to it.
2:20 Ruben Quinines – One more question. Do you, tell me right or wrong, does the page dictate the keywords or the keyword dictate the page?
2:28 Sarah Dryden – I like to let the page dictate the keywords. I spend lot of time reading the content on the whole site that I am working on as well as on the page specifically and sometime because the page isn’t specific enough by itself so I let it; I say Oh what it really mean is this so I will define it more strictly with these keywords.
2:48 Ruben Quinines – Very cool, alright so that was a quick SEO tip as far as, you know, placing keyword in your copy and how about doing it in the right way or at least more efficient way.
