I am Francesca, from Italy, a background in Marketing and Product Management and seven years of experience in International Companies.
I started to work for Path Interactive in mid-June after I completed a course Search Marketing with Ruben Quinones and Michael Stearne at NYU. I loved Search Engine Marketing class at NYU SCPS, and what I loved more was the final assignment: I decided to create a campaign for my family’s restaurant in Italy.
Finally: a real campaign, something concrete to see. Exciting.
If you happen to be in Northern Italy, take the time to stop there. The food, the restaurant in wall stone and the locations are fantastic, perfect for wedding, which you can see if you have a look at the pictures posted on the website. What about the website? I leave to Path Team final comments… just curious about it.
Food is my passion, I love to eat and to cook when I have time, choosing the best ingredients, it is fun. It’s a creative process, it takes time, here a promise, I will do for my team my tiramisu’. (Just them though!)
Just kidding, everyone will taste it, but not at once.
With the skills I’ve learned during my internship, I was able to use Adwords more effectively and I created a real campaign that will be used in the winter, during the low season when is important to pushing the sales. I am on the Paid Team and I’ve learned it’s all about details, Auction, and Quality score; completely different from what most of the people imagine when they look at ads on the search engine.
Creating campaigns is exciting; they need your constant attention, almost like watching something growing if what you did is successful. It is a challenge that requires team work and love for what you do. It is a discovery process, this is the exciting part: you never know what you can find analyzing the data. Two important ingredients to have: you need to be willing to learn something new every day, and pay attention to details.
The best strategy for me to learn about this new job is studying the theory we do in the training here at Path every Tuesday morning and reading the blogs suggested at home combined with the practice in the office. This is a great way to master what we’ve learned with the interaction with the team of specialists that are available for us. Thank you Path for this great learning experience.
