Part of the Social Media Marketing Strategy Course – Week long Intensive

New York, July 22, 2011: This panel presentation will provide students of SCPS’s Social Media Marketing Strategy and Execution course with an overview of Facebook’s algorithmic basics and its larger marketing value.  Panelists will present case studies, audience growth and management strategies, and advertising insights. Participants will ultimately learn how to use Facebook to build brand value.

The panel will be moderated by Ruben Quinones, Adjunct Professor at NYU’s SCPS and New Media Director at New York City-based digital marketing agency Path Interactive. The event will take place Tuesday, July 26th in the NYU Midtown Center (11 West 42nd Street),  from 9-10:30am.

David Berkowitz

Senior Director of Emerging Media And Innovation, 360i

David Berkowitz develops social media and mobile programs for marketers spanning the media & entertainment, retail, travel, and CPG industries at 360i, a digital marketing agency. A frequent speaker and media pundit, he has been published hundreds of times in MediaPost, Ad Age, eMarketer, and elsewhere. Since 2004, he has also penned the Social Media Insider column for MediaPost.

Vidar Brekke

CEO, Social Intent

Vidar Brekke is a marketing technologist with a particular interest in Facebook’s Open Graph, the future of social commerce and advertising. For more than a decade, he has lead marketing efforts for F500 companies like Coca-Cola, Clinique, AT&T, and Verizon to small startups, crafting strategies and technologies to help them meet tomorrow’s challenges.

 

 

Myles Kleeger

General Manager of Strategic Brand Partnerships, Buddy Media

Myles brings 14 years of experience in the advertising, media and digital marketing industries to Buddy Media, where he oversees the company’s largest strategic brand client relationships.

Myles previously built and ran the digital marketing practice at the Kaplan Thaler Group (division of Publicis), where he oversaw all digital advertising, promotional and social media efforts for a wide range of clients including Procter & Gamble, Wendy’s, Continental Airlines and Aflac, and he won several industry awards in the process, including two Webby Awards in 2010.

 

Mallorie Rosenbluth
