Social media is international, used by people of all ages, and majority of companies utilize social media for marketing and hiring. Just a few of the many fascinating stats contained within the infographic:

  • More than 26% percent of American internet users use social media sites
  • 1/4 Americans watch a video online every day
  • 53% of employers research job candidates on social networks (and over a third found a profile proved an applicant had lied about their applications!)
  • 43% of companies use blogs for marketing, 71% are on Facebook, and 59% are on Twitter
