Apple’s new social network, Ping, received a thorough once-over by the company’s engineers this week after discovering that its comments section had quickly become a spammer’s haven.
The Takeaway: With every new service comes the ability to use it – and abuse it. With that in mind, don’t overlook Ping’s potential for music-related clients. The ability to follow and unfollow certain bands, fans, etc., brings the music community together in a capacity MySpace never could.
