Facebook is partnering with Bing to bring your friends’ recommendations to online search. Because your friends have liked lots of things all over the web, you will now see their recommendations, page likes, etc., within the search results of Bing without having to go to individual page profiles.

The Takeaway: And you thought you were liking a Facebook fan page for nothing! Now, liking a page, reviewing a restaurant, etc., has added value that is beneficial to your friends’ searches. However, monitoring reviews on social sites just became that much more important for small businesses.

AT&T to Sell the iPad to Businesses; Mashable
AT&T announced last week that it will sell iPads directly to business customers, together with post-paid mobile broadband price plans, starting this Thursday.
The Takeaway: By directly selling to business customers, AT&T and Apple are hoping to make iPads more of a necessity to countless companies’ business cultures. Expect app development to follow suit by developers creating more business-minded content for its newest audiences.

Google’s New Locations Boss Sure Loves Foursquare; Silicon Valley Insider
Marissa Mayer, formerly the VP of search product and user-experience, was recently moved to is currently the head of location-based and local services, and with that has spend more time getting familiar with the location based social site, Foursquare.
The Takeaway: Mayer moving to location-based services is telling move for Google. The question is what will they do with the move, will they purchase Foursquare? Will they develop their own mobile app , but application? No one knows for sure, but moving a Google heavyweight like Mayer to location-based services shows that we should be expecting Google to focus more on location than ever.

The question is whether or not TwitterMoms will be able to market the seal as a venerable way to verify a product’s legitimacy.
