Twitter getting smarter

Twitter is trying to organize and promote tweeters with yesterday’s release of their new feature, “Twitter Lists”.  It is not available to everyone just yet.  For the last year and a half, we have relied on applications like TweetDeck and Seesmic to organize our twitter followers into categories and groups.  Outside of these applications and being able to monitor mentions and direct messages on twitter directly, you were left with a constant endless stream of status updates of all the people you were following, unless you followed a small amount of tweeters. Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Extra, extra. Google just announced a new (albeit still in the works) feature: AdWords Comparison Ads.  Google’s new baby is still in testing and only available to a small number of advertisers in the mortgage/refinance fields, but this development is already piquing the interests of many Google advertisers!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Earlier this year, Google gave Path Interactive employees the chance to help test Google’s AdWords Certification Beta exam.  Taking the two experimental exams (one for Beginners and one for Experts) would be an all day affair, so we only sent two of our campaign managers: Ari Berdy and Stephanie Scorziello.

We are proud to report that both Ari & Stephanie passed the exams with flying colors!  They are now among the first to be the newest type of Google Advertising Professionals.  Congratulations Ari & Stephanie!

But if you have a client that converts well on their search campaigns, and their acquisitions would favorably suit a PPC content campaign, you may be in luck.

Bing and Google have both announced that they will incorporate tweets into their search results.  Bing made the announcement yesterday, and Google today.  The purpose of these deals is to bring real time search capabilities to the two search engines.  This will benefit people looking for updates on breaking news, reviews on just-released products, and any other situation in which information quickly grows stale.

Google’s New Keyword Tool: A Review

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Google’s trusty Keyword Tool has been overhauled, mostly for the better.

At its core, the new Keyword Tool, currently in beta, is identical to the old one. You enter seed keywords or a site URL, and it generates relevant keyword ideas, along with associated statistical data, such as search volume and competition. This can then be used for search engine optimization, paid search or general market research.

This is really where the similarity ends. While the new Keyword Tool is missing a few features we’ve become accustomed to, it contains at least 11 new or improved ones, some significant. (more…)
